I've always been partial to green so I
like it.
Even interior.
The only thing I don't like is the black dash and
console.
It fights with the rest of the car.
It should have been green too.
Or at least lighter color.

Louis.

Still feel like a rookie though.

I really like the color, although the blue seatbelt is jolting. And what I wouldn't give for the manual AC controls! Being a Euro import, Shouldn't the speedo be Euro too?

I like the color too. Most here probably know why after seeing a pic of my SD.

The car is slime greeen!

Actually, my poor taste in colors has me on this one, I like it! And I think the interior color complements the exterior color quite well!

You do not have poor taste in colors. You're like me, they see it as bad, but that slime green (MB calls it "silberdistel" or silver thistle metallic green. It looks beautiful on this W126 (my car will look like this when I get it repainted soon) I think they used it on the W107, W116, W123, W124, W201, and W126.

I've seen a few 123s and 116s that were that color, and more than a few 115s. But I can't imagine a 124 like that.

Worth buying just for the manual climate controls! You could always repaint it, and swap in a different interior...

What color is your 87 300DT? Mine is "Desert Taupe" if those of you do not know what that color is, sorry I don't have a photo, but the color is sort of a med metallic brown!

Mine's white with gray MB-Tex. Seems like nine out of ten '87 300Ds are either Smoke Silver or Desert Taupe with tan Tex, though.

I just noticed that you are new to the forum Alex The Seal, welcome aboard!

I have gained a lot of knowledge about my benz and as a result, my car runs super, as I do all of my own repairs. I doubt I could have done anything without the help from many of the members of this forum.

Sooty
