I have a 75 240D that I got for free. After I got it running, I parked it. All that was wrong was that the PO ran out of fuel.

The bad news is that this car is a basket case due to rust. The good news is that I found a 1980 that broke a timing chain, for almost free. This new one is a straight, rust free New Mexico car with a nice interior. I'm pretty sure that the 1975 year engine has what I need to get the 1980 running.

If I pull this together, I am going to sell the other car in parts for whatever I can get for them. The exterior sheetmetal is mostly good, all trim parts, drivetrain, etc. I value my reputation, so I'm not going to sell anything worn out, or bogus. I'm not greedy either, I just want a modest sum for my time to remove and ship the parts.

As far as I can tell, this car is completely original. The only problem was the salt.
