LOW EGT Readings
Looking for ideas...
I'm low in the power dept I've adjusted the valves did the Quick/dirty Timing chain stretch thing and it looks to be about 4-5degrees out I have an EGT gauge installed where the EGR used to be hooked to the exhaust manifold. the ALDA is backed out fully truck has 4:56 gears and weighs half of the sd that the engine came from banjo/tubing from pump to intake is clear Boost shows I'm making up to 14psi New fuel filters truck is sluggish off the line and seems to have no acceleration the kicker is NO BLACK smoke under load (WOT) and the most I have seen out of the EGT gauge is 700F at WOT at 70MPH normally driving around town, again at WOT the most I've seen is 500F. I believe I dont have enough fuel being delivered.... any thoughts?? is it a bad pump? or can I tamper with it and "fix" it? or is 5degrees strech enough to cause these issues?

Quote:
The EGR port is not directly part of the exhaust flow. It's actually a tube that starts by the turbo flange. |

Picture1- you can see the EGR tube port.

Have you cleaned the Banjo bolt?

Wouldn't hurt to check the fuel filters.

diff ratio?
4:56 gears? Is that the diff ratio? Someone correct me me, but isn't that higher than an SD?

That's LOWER than a 240D.

Just to clear up a few things:
with 4:56 gears the engine will/is screaming at 70MPH it (higher the diff ratio number the higher the RPM is and slower top end speed) as I mentioned the fuel filters are new. Banjo bolt is clean and lines as well, turbo is making boost the temp probe is in the manifold and I'm sure it is reading correctly(I'll try to get a picture to show it)
