So i've been thinking about intercooling my '87 603 and ran across this water to air intercooler. It looks like it would be a pretty good solution, given that it is a straight-through design and could be fairly well made. They aren't located too far from where I live so I assume I can go inspect the equipment before I buy, and they sell complete kits for a fairly reasonable price (~$270) including various sized radiator/fan combos.

So is there any problem/disadvantage with using an AWIC on a 603 as opposed to an air-to-air, assuming one can find a tidy spot to locate the radiator? Is there any disadvantage in general to using an AWIC over an AAIC?
Anyone used a AWIC on a 603?
