T5/TKO500 transmission
Has anyone did any research on putting a T5/TKO 500 transmission behind a 617? Since they have a removable bell housing, I wonder how hard it would be to adapt it to the iron case aluminum bell housing from the 240D's? My guess it would be hard to find a clutch disc that would work. Is the standard 240D disc 9", I forget. These transmission are popular in the hot rod world. I'm not sure if the ratios would work well for a diesel, but the OD sure would be nice.
