That is a ridiculous answer.

Its the right answer though. Propane is pointless when turning up the full load screw has the same effect on power without any risk of preignition or backfire.

The claimed MPG increases come from substitution of diesel for the propane.

I don't want to remove oil filter to get at plate.

Why should you? If I can get my claws in there to adjust it, I know everyone else can.

A tip to greatly reduce the effort getting the backplate off after the first time; replace the slotted screws with hex-head screws.

I always thought those were called Allen bolts. But, since I am not ASE certified I am not qualified to know such things.

Allen is a trademark name.

That would be a socket head cap screw if you are looking for one in the hardware store. SHCS. A hex head refers to a standard six sided type bolt or screw head.

When screwing, using the wrong identifying name could result in mixed signals, resentment, anger, and sleeping on the couch.

Anymore update on a DIY system?
I am looking forward to try it with a bottle placed at the passenger seat and see the results. But I would prefer a more sturdy DIY then the bottle next to me, lol...
Old Sinner, did you keep on sinning and did you finally make it up?
I like the powershot, but geezzz, they are dear... Really dear....
I am running 16/ 17 PSI at the moment and would like the gas to kick in at 14, that should be good? No?

I forgot, I got some Butane here, would that do the trick as well or its a no go? I read propane burn hotter, which might be better? Also the freezing oint on the propane is alot lower? Anyway, should I connnect the butane bottle?
Cheers.
Olivier

A little update, I decided to see what is happening with injecting some Butane...
I got a wee nylon pipe from a bottle to the air filter.
There is definitly something going on there, but I am not sure if its a lot more power?
At idle if I inject some Butane, the car start to clack like an old diesel type, I can only think its because the revs goes highter then the electronics start to shut the fuel to go back to normal then I am only running on Butane? This is my theory...
There is defenitly some oxigen that are burning as the butane increase the revs as soon as I inject some. This is the good news :)
I'll try again some time later next week when I can get hold of some longer piping that will able me to position the bottle in a better place then near my private...
Also I'll get a Propane bottle, see if there isany differences? But for now thereis no money to get it.
I loved to have a powershot 2000 tho, but cannot afford anythingat the moment...I really like the way its progressive. The more air, the more power...
Any hint to help make a proper set up would be great too :)
All the best.
Olivier
