606 in my w140
Almost ready,,Some pics are here http://606transplant.shutterfly.com

Nice! I think the 606/W140 combo is a match made in Heaven. The only thing better would be a CDI engine but the complexity of the swap would move the meter a little more towards the "Hell" direction... :)

I was hoping this was the turbo version of the 606 and I see it is from the pix. The NA version would be a tad underpowered for a W140 chassis.
|
Who in there right mind would go through all this? Its a turbo !!

Cool! What did the W140 start out life as? Did you keep the EDC pump or go to a mechanical one?

603 TO 606 Swap
It was in a 603.971 rod bender !! I switched it to a 603 mecanical ip! I did not want to get involved with all that wiring !
|
Looks great! Very clean install.
Questions/comments: Did you wire open the MAF or just leave it flapping? I'm curious how the dip stick ended up under the intake manifold. Did you swap out the vacuum wastegate for a pressure activated one? The oil filter housing seems odd for a turbo engine. Mine is plastic capped. Ideas? Again, great job! |
Hi,
1 I have got the flap in the open position! 2 The 603 has the oil stick on that side of the pan. 3 I changed the wastegate to a pressure activated one! 4 It is a 603.971 oil filter housing ! |
Ah, that all makes sense!
