Want to borrow long block for mock up

I am in the process of a top secret Skunwerks Project, code name EM9D.

http://www.superturbodiesel.com/std/new-project-skunkwerks-em9d-t-858.html

I need an engine for mock up, does not need to be running, just need a head and block.

In return I can do some fab work for you.

Thanks.

I don't know if it's possible in your case but I used a LOT of scale drawings to scootch things around and make sure they fit before I did any fab work. I also welded up a metal frame as a jig to put the exhaust header together.

I can weld attachments to the frame as needed to locate other parts.

Too bad they don't make those plastic versions of these engines like they do for the V8's!

I usually use a surrogate for mock up, i.e. wood jig, but in this case I need the real deal. The alignment and positioning is going to be critical and it would be easier out of the vehicle.

There are many clearances and obstacles to overcome - the first order of business is to complete the serpentine drive. I am going to use 2 belts, an 8-rib for alt, water pump, power steering and supercharger - the other is a 6-rib for a/c.

I have a response already - in Bakersfield. I will probably follow up on that if no body close can help.
