OM605 More Power

Right guys, due to insurance issues im looking at getting a 605 merc, not a 606.

140 BHP standard if i remember correctly. Anyone know a tuning route for these cars?

Remap?
MBC + Gauge?
Max boost on stock turbo?
More Fuel?
Other things to get some more oomph maybe?

Numbers these things would bring?

I was wondering when the IP went electronic. It's not like you can remap a mechanical pump. Either way you're not gonna get more than 20hp or so without upgrading the pump.

And some of them came with Lucas pump instead of Bosch pumps. Good luck finding info on tuning those.

What turbo do they come with? Turning up the boost a little (enough for 20) with the stock turbo is usually an option, if you aim for more you'd need a different turbo.

I believe it is electronic yes.

You will have to go down that same route to get "just" 300.

head studs or something?

There is a lot of stories about these things.
And i think at you have heard just a good story.

If you want 300hp on your 5syl you need pump update and if i been you i made a new exhaust manifold. Also you need better cooler.
