THIS IS IT LAST OF THE SPRINGS

This is it:

Down to 20 as pictured. Each tube contains one of my springs for the OM617 or OM616 family of engines. You will need the rebuildable OFV. The rebuildable type will look like a 14mm bolt inside a 17mm bolt. If your OFV does not look like this, and it has what appears to be a ball bearing sticking out of the side, then what you have is the non-rebuildable type, and it is aftermarket.

The spring is a common, R&R item as they wear out around every 100,000 miles. Please do not stretch or otherwise pull apart your current spring to try to "refurbish" it. This is a common hack which really does not work and may cause more headaches than relief.

Your OFV is on the in-board side of your injection pump, around the middle of the injection pump. It has one of your plastic fuel lines connected to it by way of a banjo bolt. The easiest way to locate your OFV is to follow the plastic fuel line. To remove the OVF, you will need one 17mm wrench. The spring swap takes around five minutes. You need to be careful to not drop your aluminum or copper crush washers since they will land in a spot which may be about impossible to see let alone get your fingers down into that crevice to retrieve them.

I have sold 1,000s of these springs over the years. Always two thumbs up, except literally one or two folks who claimed no difference. The latter may have had other engine issues.

Because of the overhead and production run costs, I am not getting any more made any time soon. Any time soon is defined as a possible 500 or 1,000 to be made which means years or never.

Therefore, if you want one of the last springs, order now. I am not reserving or holding on to any of them. I do not have any rebuildable OFVs. I have been asked this question literally dozens of times and there are literally dozens of folks lined up for one.

Shipping is only by USPS, Priority Mail. It comes with $100 worth of insurance and tracking. Please note: If the USPS says it delivers your box, but you claim you never got it, I will file a claim. BUT, the USPS will deny the claim and that ends the matter. Therefore, either provide to me the correct address and/or monitor your mailbox.

Last, postage has literally doubled in the last ten years. A small flat rate USPS box is about $10 bucks versus $5. PP fees inched up a smidge. Therefore, each spring shipped is $40.00.

If you buy more than one, you can deduct $10 off. As an illustrative example, you order three springs, the total cost will be $100 ($40 + $30 + $30 = $100). If you buy two, then $70 ($40 + $30 = $70). You can extrapolate the pricing for quantities other than two or three.

I do not come on site as much as I used to, but I check in every week or so. I will take PP for payment.
