Which car should I take to the Tampa GTG?

Vote early and vote often. All my cars are in need of maintenance, so whatever gets the call gets worked on this weekend.

Hey Rick, who are you tryin to kid? Trading cars for test-drives is part of every GTG. Hell, even me happy with my 240D would like to take a spin behind the wheel of the 4-spd 300. Bring the '82 300D Euro 4-spd and you'll be a hero. Plus you'll stir the pot over bragging rights as to who's got the best car there.

Good news / bad news on Granny Smith, the 82 Euro. The diesel purge and cannister fuel filter have solved the performance problem and the engine is running great. However, after putting in 12 ounces of genuine Freon I found an audible leak at the receiver/drier. I don't have any more time to mess with it right now, so there will be no air for next week. Surf's house is only 25 miles from here, so I'll probably take Granny there anyway.

I kind of expected that the Jetta wouldn't get many votes because they've become pretty common, but only 1 vote for the Jeep really surprises me. I thought you people were a bunch of dieselheads - did you not realize that CRD stands for Common Rail Diesel? It's really a sweet ride.
