Any interest in a small NJ/NY/CT Metro. GTG?

Just curious if anyone from the NY/NJ/CT Metro area is interested... it's just a thought at this point... but...

That's what I'm thinking -- I figure if I send out some feelers now... by the time the word gets out... maybe we could have something. I've done one other of these with another car and it actually turned out to be a lot of fun...

Like I said, right now it is only a thought... but I think it would be neat, and I don't really see anything going on in this area, yet I see a lot of members...

Definitely...

I was at a BMW E30 3 series GTG in the fall in PA, and we went out for some spirited driving... Maybe a bit too spirited for my skill level.

But spirited driving on some backroads in our diesels woudl be fun and more my speed

Some members in that area who would probably be interested, but don't necessarily hang out here all the time: Carrameow, DieselHead, and BOGDAN. You might try looking up the usernames and emailing them.

Thanks Rick -- yeah, that's sort of why I started so soon.

Thanks,

If it's gonna be a nice big one I don't mind driving down there somewhere!

I'll probably stop by NYC while at it..

Yea I am interested. How about combining this with Freehold NJ events that occur every third thursday of the month in the warm/hot season.

Not too sure about the Freehold thing... I don't know what it is to be honest (or when) -- I'm thinking along the line of early spring... something like the end of March or something... Warm enough to have fun, but not 6 months away either... (plans change too fast to do something that far)...

I'm really surprised at all the interet so far.

I'm not even sure WHERE to meet and such... some place with a lot of rural highway and such... I'm thinking either Ocean County (which may be TOO far south, i.e. exit 80-90 on GSP) or Sussex County (Northwest NJ)... But I think that all depends on where the bulk of the people are coming from.

If it looks like almost all are coming from NJ -- then central/ocean NJ is best -- if it looks like lots of NY/CT people... well... you get the picture...

Keep it coming...

Pete

I would be interested and Freehold is close to me also. Freehold is on Thursday nights, right? The last one we had was on a weekend, I think it was on Saturday.

Allaire State Park, Exit 98 on the GSP, or Shark River State Park Exit 98, or Belmar Boardwalk Exit 98, the park by Belmar Marine Basin Exit 98, I'm sure you figured out which exit I live near!
