2002 Mercedes Benz E320
Hey, looking to get the wife a mercedes for our anniversary. We already have a c280, we love the car. I am looking at a 2001-2002 E320 Mercdedes Benz. anyone have any reviews on this car? any known problems I will be looking at?

yeah, I don't want my wife getting an 8 cyclinder car, way too much power. any problems that you ran into with the E320?

The 02 is the last of the w210, genearlly the last model is usually the best. The m112 engine will need a harmonic balancer pulley replaced by MB USA (free) just ask the seller of the car if they have records of this done. The other thing to watch out for on the w210 is rusting spring perches - although with a 4 year old car there shouldn't be much if any rusting of anything.
With any used car purchase I feel that it is worth it to spend 200 or 300 to have a MB dealership do a thorough pre purchase inspection. This will serve to lower the risk of your investment and give you an idea of the condition of the car. Cars with complete service records and dealer maintained cars are most desireable and usually command a higher price. Good luck! I like the w210...someday I hope to get a 01 or 02 E430.
