It looks great, Dean. Keep it up More pics....

Couple things I want to point out. Don't use those Photo Album thing as you CAN NOT enlarge the photos. Default setting for Photo Album will be VERY hard to read. Try resize the pics and upload/place them as thumbnails. And when someone click on it, larger pics will be displayed in seperate windows.....

Secondlly, maybe have another LINK section for the links. For front page links, use Banners instead(like Mercedesshop pic/banner).

Dean,
Are those replicas or real AMG's? Just curious. Thanks.

Hello All:

ET, the colour is beryll metallic. E500's were available in all colours, however, most people ordered the blacks, silvers, and dark greens.

YAL, the wheels are not AMG's, they are monoblock replicas made by RH Alurad of Germany, who are also the OE manufacturer of wheels for Porsche. They are available at Precision Auto Designs (nice catalog), but I got mine from King Wheels of Hillsboro, OR, 1-800-455-2755.

Dave Hendy recently posted that he has ordered the same setup from King Wheels. Dave...have you received them yet?

Dean,
Thanks, they look great! I have been looking for some good pictures of these replicas on a W124 and yours have sold me on them. Beautiful color too by the way and the star removal looks very clean! Nice!

Dean:
Nice colour - my 94 E500 has the same exterior colour (hope you like the CDN spelling)as yours, only south of the 49th parallel it is called teal blue. I have seen this colour on W126's and 300E's but not on other E500's. Do you have any idea how many E500's had this colour combination?

Hello DDC:

Interesting that MB would have a different name for the same colour north and south of the 49th.

A local dealer had a 95 500SL in the exact same colour also, and I was soooo tempted to mortgage the house and kids to have a matching pair!!

There is a S420 in my neighbourhood (note spelling) in the same colour also, so as you can see, beryll or teal is not that uncommon.

The Canadian distributor for MB has advised me that they do not have records of colours for the 500E/E500 as they were available in all standard colours (I'm sure somewhere they know how many came over on the boat but this guy wasn't about to look).

Happy Motoring

I have received many comments on how nice the colour of my teal blue 500E. People tell me it is nice to see a MB that is not silver, black, or white. Women really like the colour!

With the help of WEB.COM, I've obtained an abbreviated web address.

What do you think?

Any comments or suggestions for content or presentation at "need2speed" are most gratefully accepted.

I'm trying a new look on the Need2Speed site, with more fun colors and less non-Mercedes info.

What do you all think??

I've just added a comparison of Mercedes Super Sedans including the 6.3, 6.9, E500 and E55.

I am looking for an E55 owner to provide specs and stories on the car. Check http://www.homestead.com/need2speed/supersedans.html

Also, I've taken my favorite photos from the MercedesShop forum and put them on one page. Any further contributors are very much welcome. Check http://www.homestead.com/need2speed/MercedesShopGallery.html
Have a look and drop me a line.
