1990 300E or 1991 420SEL

Hello all,

I am thinking of getting another w126 or W124, I have owned an 88 300E and a 87 560SEL. I have always loved the driving characteristics of the older MB more than any of the new cars. I am looking at a 1991 420SEL or a 1990 300E. The 420SEL will cost me about $6k, with about 70k miles with all records and second owner. The 1990 300E (65k miles) will go for about $5500. I really wanted a 94 or 95 E320, but the price is a bit more than I want to spend, even if I look for higher miles (110k+) it looks to still be at about $9k+. So I started looking at older ones (90, 91, 92 and 93) and have found a one owner, all service records car for under $6k or I could get the 1990 420SEL for about $6k. What do you guys think, both cars have leather interior instead of the MB tex that I had before. I will need the car as a second car for daily driving duties.

Thanks
Argyle

With 70K miles and records for $5500, get the 420 SEL!!!! My 420 SEL is my daily driver. For $5500, where are you going to find a car that's as solid, SAFE, and with as nice a ride?
