General Maintenance M119 and others

My oil level sensor was giving me trouble and when I removed the pan, a piece of the oil pickup screen assy was laying in the bottom of the pan....Its a 20 year old rubber part that had now become hard and broken off. I have no idea how long it was down in the pan. I suppose you could stick a straight or hooked piece of wire into the drain plug hole to probe around GENTLY....to see if yours is broken.....the part number is 110-186-00-07 .....I reused my screen in the rubber piece. it fits on the oil pump
