Looking for 240D engine
Looking for a mechanical sound 240D engine, preferably within reasonable distance from Richmond, Virginia--say 500 miles! A 220D will do as well.

I Have a complete 1976 mercedes benz 240d with good engine & transmission, along with like new tires all around, and body overall in very nice shape for $600 completely firm in Danbury, CT.
The only reason it has to be sold for parts is the passenger side front subframe has rusted out so its not safe to drive for a long distance. Pics of the car are at http://yourmenusite.com/benz/ The car still looks the same but the description and pics were from before the subframe gave me trouble. don't
waste time with tis guy he jerked me around telling me he wants the motor after 20 half page long emails and him telling me he is bying it on saturaday then friday he says can you do a compression test on the motor when i get there and run it i said i'll start it on the floor like i said in the ad but youll have to pay the while 500bucks i asked origially if i am gonna spend my time on it so then he said maybe it's better for both of us if i don't get it.,..What a waste of my time!

fine fellow you are. you advertised complete engine. when i asked to hear it run you replied the engine has no starter and no flywheel. don't hide the facts!

ok you obviously do not know what comlete engine -
means ! Complete engine w/all accessories would have alternator starter,a/c compressor and flywheel well probably not the flywheel but you'd expect it! I did not claim it to have accessories with it!!!!!!!!!Well at least every body knows what kid of business man you are .. My motor is sold and the guy called and thanked me for selling it to him so...Good luck!

Free Engine
the condition of the engine is unknown, it's from a parts car not my main car, it's from a 1977 240d that I believe was garaged from transmission problems. If you want it and can pull it yourself, it's yours, no guarantees but no cost either. Email me and I'll give you my location if you're ineterested. I'm 20 min from franklin, Va
