I'm real sorry for the delay in the VIN, but I had a family situation this weekend.

Anyway without further ado, the VIN number does indeed start with WDB126037, which, if I'm not mistaken, is euro production.

I'll get a picture for you guys ASAP.

Anyway, anyone interested or know someone interested?

bemaitea2, put all the light-harted ribbing aside. What the guys seem to be looking for is objective proof that this car was handled by AMG at some point in its life. If you have those import documents, it would go a long way to providing a pedigree to work from.

For those who saw the Ebay ad for the 1000sec (different car), that one is indeed around still and its owner says that AMG did something unusal to the suspension to make it handle better and the unique suspension parts are one tell-tale sign of the true bill.

AMG did something to the suspension and someone installed AMG shocks and springs are different things.

Is there a reputable registry of cars tuned by AMG?
