I am NOT posting this car for sale here, just FYI...Authentic 560SEL AMG 6.0 32V

I know a lot of you guys are enthusiasts of the old-school cars like me, so thought you'd like to see it before it's gone.

I'm not happy about selling it, but same story as usual..too many projects, lousy economy, could use the cash for other things, etc.

I have almost $40K invested (don't ask, I paid for it in 2006 and have been trying to get it from Japan ever since), so I am hoping not to get killed on it.

Wish me luck!

Bruce

Thanks all. Not like I thought.......still not a drag strip car. But the throttle is quick response...lean in and it GOES, no delay like a standard W126 throttle.

And then as the RPMs build, it pulls harder, and harder, and harder, all the way to redline, in any and every gear.

I ran with a D2 chassis Audi S8 (360HP) the other day on the PA turnpike. I have one of those, my wife uses it as a daily driver. When traffic cleared, we punched it, and I slowly pulled away from him until my speedo said 220KMs per hour and I ran out of clear road. And it was STILL pulling hard!

That's the car I've always wanted. I'm sorry to have never gotten to see it up close and in person. It must really kill you to part with it, Bruce.

Oh, sorry. I was thinking this was the SEC you were trying to get from Japan. This one is no slouch by any means, but it was that Black AMG 6.0 SEC that I was thinking of.

What ever happened with that one?

Sweeet! BTW, it looks to me as though the VIN decodes to a 1989 (K). Is it registered as a 1990?

Good catch. Ebay won't accept a Euro VIN#, so I plugged in a different USA car. This assumes you were decoding the VIN# in the listing header.

If you used the one shown on the doorjamb AMG tag, then not sure what to say, but it is definitely a 1990.

Incredibly over-worded auction listing when the car mostly speaks for itself.
Kind of over-wooded too......

Yakuza! interesting history. Very nice car, I hope you'll be making some money on it because it must be difficult to part with it.
