Beware gauge cluster tampering - the center dial buttons should be silver and not black. Here's an awfully similar car for reference, plus my '82 as the silver dial buttons as well (it's original too):

My 83 had black centers. My 82 had silvers. No reason to doubt either of those cars. Oh, and my 82 had black cowl vents too. Wonder if they put the chrome ones on the darker cars that year. Mine was light ivory. Continue, I love the color combo.

I think chuni was posting ebay links to make his point that I was incorrect about the black dials - which apparently I was - and I'm guessing the incorrect copy as noted by dkveuro is from one of the three ebay ads? Chuni didn't write those ebay ads, he was just posting links to prove his point against me.

Chuni, sounds like a clean car - the sales teasers are a bad idea, it creates distrust. It'd be best if you'd post price, location, and pics right out of the gate so that people can see what you got. I've bought and sold a few w123s over the years, and the biggest thing you've got to conquer is the distrust - thorough ads and pics do exactly that.

I'd like to see the car just because I like seeing the low-mileage w123s out there. Good luck to you!

I think that "gravel+pebble beige" in the linked car above is my favorite W123 interior color. [except of course for the uber wild green Euro colors]

It appears that yall are making points on different year models, or either I'm cornfused. '82 had silver buttons, '83 did not.......????? {oh wait, I reread post #9. Duly noted.} POS, a very classy retraction of your original question, but your comments on "for sale" verbiage is spot on!!!!

Well the car has been sitting outside my brothers garage now since fall. He keeps telling me that hes gonna take pics, but he never does. I was just going to post the ****ty pics he sent me and then give his email address to anyone interested. Then he can fend off all you crazy 123 diesel loonies and you will probably ride his ass enough to take more =) Is this the 616 engine? Im only familiar with the 60x family
