I agree, I'd hate to part it out, but I started adding up the invoices for new parts I put on (just cost of parts, not labor or good used parts) and stopped adding at around $1200.

Hopefully someone will recue it before I start. Seems like $900. is pretty good bargain for a nice V8 you drive off in.

Amazing you should ask. It DOES! See, I got them from this great guy in Memphis, they aren't installed yet but they'll look real nice when they are.

Oh man, that's a nice car at a good price; I hope you don't have to part it out. I wish I had the cash to buy one.

On another note, congrats on your new purchase. I love my '88 300SE (love that SWB 126 look).

I hope so too. For the right person (DIY) it would be a great car for very little money. I love the "new" 300 se, but I miss the "lazy" V8 of the 380 sel on the highway. I'm definitely aware that the M103 is spinning away at over 3500 rpms on the highway vs. 2000 in the 380 sel.

I've really agonized over selling it but I'm getting older and only have enough "juice" to work on one at a time. I have a 1970 Triumph Spitfire that I've owned for nearly 30 years and it has needed a paint job, new interior and overall freshening up for quite a few years. It didn't driver it all last year as it was looking too scruffy. It has to be my focus this summer.
