We bought this car locally in 1995, driven daily (mostly highway, we're rural here) to work until 2007, and its been our 3rd/spare car since then. I have 99% of the service records for this car since purchase in 1995. We are non-smokers.

We're selling this reluctantly. It's our third car, and is languishing in the barn. Every time I drive it I say to myself 'I want to keep this car, I LOVE THIS CAR', but I just don't have the motivation to work on it any more. Someone else would appreciate this car more than we do now.

Good-running car. No billowing clouds of smoke at start, idle, hot or cold. Car has been up and down the Eastern seaboard, from Boca Raton to Smoky Mountain Parkway. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere as it sits.

Interior in good to very good condition. Includes genuine sheepskin covers that have been on the car since 1995. They need a little resewing at the center seam. I have the rear bumper trim strip as well as the j-hooks to hold it to the bumper, also have the rear center hatch trim.

It needs some body work, mostly surface (see photos of hood, rear fender edge and rear roof) and it does have the rusted A-pillar drain problem. I chased that leak for months! Once found, I kept the car under cover, in our barn.

Also has a slow leak at the trans/engine connection. Its leaked there ever since the transplant. The indy mech tried twice to reseal it but was unsuccessful; since it's a slow leak, we just dealt with it.

AC Compressor is noisy but puts out cold ac. R134.

Everything works except:
--visor mirror doors (gone) but the lamps worked prior to the mirror covers disintegrating
--aux coolant pump
--high beam indicator bulb is burned out
--rear driver window inop (motor?)


Donor car: 1984 MB 300TD wagon, blue/black ext, blue interior. Interior in really good shape on this car, although its hard to tell from the photos. This is a Chicago car, and the underside is mostly gone from salt/rust damage. Topside and glass, interior are all very good to good shape. Trailer hitch. Car is not running. You'll need to tow this one; engine in engine bay, trans is probably still at the indy shop. I have some records of work done on this car/engine by the previous owner. Pictures show it in parts because I was preparing to swap the seats but never did.

SEATS from donor car: I will post a pic/pics tomorrow of the seats. They were in the barn apartment for the photo shoot(s).
