1981 Euro 300TD

I have a 1981 Euro Spec 300TD Mercedes Benz Wagon with 163,000 miles on it. This car is a European model and does not have a turbo. It still has plenty of power even without the turbo though and its one less thing to go wrong. The car cruises down the road at 80mph, gets 26mpg hwy and runs smooth. I've had it since Oct. 2008. The car needed some small initial work (rear axle was replaced, did rear brake calipers and pads all around) but since then we literally haven't done anything but an oil change. The suspension, a common expensive problem, is solid. I've put 4,000 miles on the car. It had been well maintained before I purchased it and I have many of the invoices. It has a new rebuilt transmission put in 9/07. It has a few rust spots of note. The Passenger rear wheel well on the front side (you can see it in the picture) and a spot on the hood the size of a quarter. There is also some rust on the driver front and passenger rear jack points. The interior is very clean and in good condition. Please email if interested. We have to sell it because my wife lost her job, we no longer need a second car and we need the cash. We are super bummed to have to part with it!

Located: Lawrenceville, NJ
Price: $3,500 (OBO)

What color is the interior? Seems like a good buy.

Interesting color. I don't think I have seen it before. I have seen euros with the light apple green though.

Re 1981 Euro 300TD

Looks nice.

I dont know if the european version has AC, but if it does, does it work, and has it ever been converted?

The interior is green also. It has leather/cloth combo seats with leather on the outside 1/3s and cloth the middle 1/3. The A/C is not blowing cold but was converted to R134 in 1999 according to a sticker on radiator. Shoot me an email if you are interested!

Bump & I'm thinking you'll need to post a few pics of the interior for the GREEN fans on the forum.

If not for the four letter R word, JimmyL might be....
