Paging BruceM105

Bruce, this car is in your neck of the woods, you know anything about it? It looks sweet from here.

Sure looks nice in the ad. I clearly need to upgrade my house/neighborhood, my car photos would look much nicer with a house like that in the background.

Probably 45 min or so from me, not too far, if anyone needs help.

I won't buy it because I am a HP snob, and the 300SEL is slow. Plus it's geared high to compensate, so it turns like 3500 RPM at 75MPH...gets annoying on long drives.

Bruce

Bruce...I have missed your wit! HP snob, so that's what it is. Question .. your recommendation for best interstate cruising tires for 1991 300SE? Happy Holidays,
Dick

for a 66k mile car, i'd expect the dash wood to look the same as the shift console wood.

i'll pass.

Hard to top the OEM spec Michelin MXV4 Energy+ for highway cruising. They are stupidly expensive though, as a tire like that is 1/2 price from Kumho, Dunlop, and others.

For a crusing tire, I just go to tirerack survey area and concentrate on noise, ride quality, and wet weather ratings. as long as it scores high in those areas, you'll be happy.

Looks like they took a trip out to the main line to take those pictures...definitely not where the place is located, pretty sure it is in NE Philly. I go by houses like that on my way to school every day, pretty absurd/useless if you ask me...nice car though!

Background shots look familiar?

Discussion: Is this W108 worth the price?

Off topic, but I have temporarily satisfied my HP snobbery.

I have a 625HP Renntech 2003 S600 on the way from Atlanta. Should be here tomorow night, just in time for 6 inches of snow. It has 20" wheels with summer tires...perfect!

careful, if you go fast enough your eyeballs might retreat back into your head.

I hope you'll drive that to the next GTG, Bruce. A road trip to Virginia or Maryland sounds like just the thing for it.
