1980 280SE euro
Here is a link from the previous owner as this car may be familiar to some of you
1980 W116 280SE Euro spec in New Jersey I bought it from the guy who tried to flip it on Ebay and have really enjoyed it the last few years. I honestly have not done much to the car other than enjoy it. I did have a new windshield put in when I had the seal replaced ($400) and had the valves adjusted. I have a complete engine and trans from a US spec 280 but I couldnt tell you the condition as i wasn't running when I pulled it. I would like to get $3000 for everything including lots of new parts like door seals, valve cover seals ect. I am not the most articulate person so please ask a lot of questions. There is rust here and there and the car will need a repaint. It looks great shined up from 20 feet away. Pm or call (three one five) 317-5861 Mike

I am kinda shopping around for a car around in the 1200 range so that counts you out. I was looking for a V8 MB but would rather have yours over a V8. I am guessing that engine is silky smooth and get's good MPG's. The only V8 MB I have ever driven was my brothers '98 420sel..

So the unthinkable is unfolding before me...A guy stopped to look at my car and may want to buy it, however I don't think he has good intentions. I can't stand to think of my car being driven by anyone less than an enthusiast.
This is no longer a for sale post but an admission of prejudice against all that would defile my precious grey market German steel conservative sedan. Am I ridiculous?
