MB for VW trade possibilty
Is anyone interested in a trade plus cash for my 81 240d that has been a faithful daily driver for my daughter for 2 years; but since she is going to college with no need for a car, I want to replace it with a TDI; so...
the car:MB 218k auto. The good: C Sean Watts balanced and popped injectors. most steering components replaced, rear axles, DS center bearing/mount, newish Michi Harmony's , battery, misc small stuff. Good vacuum, good heat, a solid body and good running engine /trans worth fixing up; that with care will last a lot longer. 25 mpg Thse bad: Broken passenger window fitted with frp insert, driver side rear door needs latch, noisy crack in downpipe, driver seat is well used as is the interior, ac/cc inoperative, some surface rust. rattly. I expect to pay for a good running VW but this car is saveable by a diyer who would like a Benz as a 2nd car in your diesel family. As this was my first MB; I have been on this forum since before day one and my posts will detail most if not all my tinkering Anybody, just for giggles? Andrew

Watch Fred's TDI Club for cars on the market with a history.
The 99-2003 ALH VW cars are really getting harder to deal on...ie demand is going up and supply is going down. Good luck! Tim |
