1985 300 TD Wagon, 199k Miles, $3950, Roanoke, VA
This is a beautiful, stylish, incredibly safe, and reliable family vehicle. I love owning and driving this car. People regularly come up to me and my family and talk to us about it.
This is our 3rd car, I keep it covered, and own and care for it as Mercedes-Benz enthusiast, AND, it's a fully functional vehicle, ready to be used as a family vehicle, both around town and on long trips. This past weekend my son and I drove this Mercedes to New York state and back, the trip was a joy. The wagon drives so well and it's healthy 3.0 liter turbocharged diesel engine loves the open road. Since this is my hobby / Mercedes-Benz enthusiast car I have it registered as an Antique so the tags are permanent, insurance is low ($16.50/month) and a state inspection is never required. However, I had this vehicle inspected today (9/26/12), and the brand new inspection sticker is on the window so the new owner can register this vehicle as regular use / normal plate, or limited use / antique plate. Either way, this car is completely ready to be driven and enjoyed right now. Also, this is an incredible utility vehicle. The rear seats fold down completely flat creating a positively huge cargo area (see image), the roof and roof racks are designed to carry additional cargo, and just three weeks ago we installed an upgraded rear suspension which improves the ride and handling of the vehicle both when it's loaded and empty. Need to increase the seating from 5 passengers to 7? Simply Google "Mercedes Station Wagon Rear Facing 3rd Seat" to purchase and install the 3rd row seat from JJ Products. This 300TD looks really nice as-is and if a future owner were interested in bringing it up to show-car condition I believe it's a great candidate for that. It has 199k miles, which is low for a 27 year young Mercedes-Benz ... it's really just breaking in! New Pirelli P6 4 Season 80,000 mile treadlife tires. New Bosch starter. New A/C compressor and evaporator. New Upgraded Rear Suspension. Newly Added - Receiver Hitch for hitch-mount bicycle rack. (Vehicle is not currently wired for towing, though the next owner could easily do so.) New Bosch Icon Wipers (both windshield and rear window) We are selling this simply because we have a new baby on the way! And we could use the funds. Thanks for looking and reading and if you know of anyone that may be interested please pass this information along. 540-537-4896 robertissem@gmail.com Minor issues:
