oke, here's the link to the fleabay auction that I bought it in for $3600. 1982 Mercedes W123C 300CD Fresh Paint Rust Free Cold AC 59 Pics No Reserve | eBay

Only the main picture still works so I'll take a few more. The good/what's been done in the last month:
Brake calipers and pads
AGM battery
Upper and lower rad hoses, thermostat, 'big' short hose, flush, G05
Lemforder motor mounts
New return lines
New Monark Nozzles, pop, balance
All new Bosch glows
New long glow relay
New hand pump
Two can purge
All new belts
3 new rubber air filter mounts.
Installed working speedo/odo assy (93k on speedo, old speedo had 159 but odo was dead)
Air filter
fuel filters
oil change and filter
Trans filter and full fluid change
Drip time
Valve adjust (three times)
New vac hoses, connectors. New driver and passenger actuators.
EGR delete (properly)
New type rack damper bolt.
Rust in outer trunk floor, passenger side floor edge, and lower wheel wells removed, POR15, glass, and steel used to fix small rust through. There was NO rust underhood, battery tray was pulled, firewall and pockets checked. Battery tray was cleaned up and POR15'd.
Both front door window seals (wiper) replaced. 1 side rear replaced ($165). All Genuine mercedes.
Has original radio and it works well.

The bad:
Ebay seller was a real cheap flipper. The paint wasn't allowed to dry long enough between coats and first cold day little bubbles appeared all over the car either between primer and color or between color coats. Looks great at 10 feet. Get close and the car has acne.

A/C compressor clutch started binding less than 100 miles after i picked up the car, belt off.

Seller claimed new front window seal. They lied. It's old and has been RTV'd. Hasn't leaked yet but.....

Drivers lock actuator needs adjusting, it's new, but right now passenger side is always locked because I have the master set too high or low, haven't had time to pull panel back off and adjust.

Either the trunk or fuel lock vacuum leaks so trunk vacuum is blocked off.

Power sunroof needs help on cold days (yep, needs a greasing).

Rear windows only go partway down.

Passenger seat has a tear in the bottom tex, rear seat multiple tears on top where sun hits.

The uncertain:

Car has a LOT of power and shifts very well. Easily run down the highway at 80 and not even think about it. Ever since the valve adjust/oil change it has smoked on startup after sitting a bit. It's either valve guides or seals. Since the car sat a long time before I got it, I may have knackered the seals as the entire valve was turning when I first did the valve adjustment (I had to buy the third tool).

It rides very well, suspension is good, it sits well, no clunks, runs over bumps without feeling them, and it's a CD.

Trade for a mechanically sorted wagon or four door, or sell outright. I'll take my lumps now and put it for 3k (frickin firm) as a learning experience. No lower $$ offers please, if there's no interest I'll just sort the smoke issue and get it painted then reflip on the e of bay .

Wow, I thought you were just fooling around, haha.

Also, you are DESTINED to have my wagon.

Here is the 300CD I sold last year. SAME COLOR, and even the bundts were painted to match the car, just like yours... This wagon is your DESTINY, it HAS to go to you!!!!

LOL.

OK OK, so my interior was blue, but still...

Lol, yeh we'll see. The 240 will be finished soon and I'll get space back to roll the CD in and yank the rockers off to see whats up with the seals. So if it hasn't been snapped up in a couple of weeks I'll likely fix it up and flea it. Might even take the time to do the wood.
