1987 Mercedes 300D TURBO Runs and Drives! $899 OBO!

This is a great car! The car runs, drives, and idles well.
I used it as a daily driver and it was incredibly reliable, though it is now more of a project car.
This model and year are rare in the US. This is the 3.0L engine. The owner before me was a diesel mechanic and took great care of it. I am selling it only because I moved from the country to the city and no longer need it. I was going to keep it as a project car and Sunday driver, but am not able to give it the attention it deserves and want to pass it on to someone who can use it well. The car has mostly been sitting since 2012, garaged for 1 year and covered for the second.

A pre-purchase inspection was done by a really good diesel mechanic. The engine and transmission checked out just fine, but does need a good amount of work before it is safe on the road and it does need to be towed.
