99 E300 Turbo Diesel Black/Tan
1999 E300 Turbo Diesel
Black on Tan Just about to hit 170k on odometer, mostly highway miles. Second owner, very meticulous with services and always ahead on schedule Mechanically pristine New tires Very clean inside and out, it has a few light scratches on the hood but nothing major, could probably buff out. Car has updated modern Mercedes keys and also has an improved audio head unit with USB/iPhone jack and handsfree bluetooth calling. Also has wireless bluetooth audio playback. Finding a clean E300TD is tough to find. This car is bulletproof and will drive strong for a long time. I personally have gotten up to 35 mpg at times with this car. Serious inquiries only. $8000. What makes it a Euro model?
What's the different between us and euro? I just got a 1999 E300D , white, yesterday. Today after work it was cold as hell when i got in it at the park and ride and , Janis Joplins , Lord won't you buy me a mercedes benz was playing on the radio. That was nice as the seats warmed up. These cars are awesome.
I'd love to get my phone integrated into it -- music, mic and speakers for talking. What head unit did you put in it?

just a few comments, neither for or against the car listed here but to add to the EURO debate.
I have a '99 E300 turbo too, I like it a lot! It was Eurofied by the PO (he was the second owner and I found the car listed here on the Forum. I seriously doubt my '99 is really a Euro vehicle because importing one would be senseless when they were available here already without the shipping fees. But the reason I call mine "Eurofied" is because it has the Benz Navigation option in the console but when I go to set the time zone it has all the European countries, like Germany, Poland, France, Italy, Russia etc. Just no North American locations so the clock readout is always wrong. Besides a couple of the digits on the lcd in the instrument cluster are starting to fail. I think someone (PO) swapped a Euro nav unit into the OE car. It came with a bundle of DVD's (or CD's) for North America and Canada (and Mexico I believe) as it existed in 1999 making it the most worthless nav system imaginable. I should yank it all out and put something modern in place of it but I use an aftermarket GPS. I also added a 12-CD player in the trunk feeding an FM modulator and the sound is not bad through the Bose system even if not the later version available in the W210 (it only uses one woofer in the rear) but the audio is still far better than I have in my W124 even with a good Pioneer radio, new speakers they just didn't make the '87' 124s with decent sounding audio. I would have jumped and bought Salehi Racings car a couple years ago, as I was looking for a car to replace the one my wife crashed (t-boned by an SUV). I just had the tranny rebuilt this Spring so it shifts proper now and that made it worth more than I can ever sell it for but hey it came with a complete new suspension: lowered springs, adjustable konis, thicker anti swaybars F and R, new bushings F and R, new ball joints, new timing chain, etc. and it drives beautifully. Now I just need to get it repainted! so buying a car like listed here is a lot quicker and would have cost me a bit less than $9.5K when all is accounted for (especially a good paint job!). Gotta love the W210 turbodiesel! I see 35 mpg occasionally when I don't put my foot into it! Now if I could only replace the noisy radiator fan with electric fans.... like gsxr will tell you, they all make a roaring sound when accelerating. Like my old Jeep 2.8l had, same sound I hate it, oh well just turn up the music! DDH

Blaupunkt and I believe Audiovox make a double DIN radio CD GPS unit but that would bring the need for a lot of interfacing to do, that's why I just live with the Y2K vintage nav system, thankfully the Bose sounds good except the MB FM radio sucks, I think the antenna is buried in the rear bumper and pulls in only strong stations in a big city out in the sticks its useless. I'd love a new Pioneer with BT and a an outside fender mounted antenna (they did put them on some W210's) but thats not in the plans right now.

The 98-99 W210s had an embedded antenna in the rear bumper for the factory analog cell phone option.
The 96-97 W210s had a mast antenna that was just for the cell phone. All gen 1 210s (96-00) had the FM antenna as part of the rear window defroster. There is an amplifier buried beneath the headliner that connects to the defroster grids. Next cold morning note the first couple rows do not defrost, that is where your antenna is.

Apologies on the late response. The head unit is a Sony Xplod with the USB port on the face. I can update later with the actual model. Price has been updated to $8000. More photos available by request. teamsalehi@gmail.com
