Agreed, I am one of those. I see potential with this car, but yes, it WILL cost more to fix it than it is worth to the GENERAL PUBLIC. However, the value of this car should sometime in the future it become a CD is great to me. I have the complete (although terribly wrecked) donor 300D, so it should be a fairly easy job with the exception being the wire harness and all the electrical gadgets. Being in CA is another hurtle to jump over, but very doable. Should I decide not to do the swap, I still would have a fun car to drive after the repairs and a little cleaning.....Rich

What right person? Would you pay $2000 for a non-running 300,000 mile coupe in that condition?

Around here that car would sell for scrap price. Would cost more than its worth to fix up.

Well the "right" person would be buying a cleaned up, drivable, currently registered and smogged car. If this proves to be more work and expense than I am willing to devote, then a CD is in my future....Rich

Yeah and I respect that, trust me, nothing is too difficult until you've owned a 6.9 haha

i have a1994 e320 coupe w/ 131k for sale at $3k and the proverbial crickets are chirping....
i have a '93 w124 wagon i'm contemplating a diesel swap for but i i just acquired a decent running but wrecked 95 e320 sedan. the thought of a straight swap as opposed to all the same work PLUS all the conversion work.......i dunno.
a decent w124 wagon is worth under $2k but a 93 TD?? even a conversion i would think would be an 8k car
