Ive got a 1987 300sdl here. 277k. it will start with a fresh battery, just overheats right away. you could drive it on and then off a trailer. om603 motor, 3.0 liter inline 6 turbo diesel. auto trans. I bought the car a couple months ago for 1500$ thinking it was gonna be a simple head gasket and some paperwork, well it wasnt. The head is no good, its got cracks between all the valves. cant be repaired. basically, if youve got another head or another motor this is the car for you. its complete, everything is there, the interior is clean, it just needs to be spruced up.
ive driven the car 20 miles, the transmission is good, it handles OK, it just needs a motor. if youve got a good mechanic, or can work on it yourself, this is perfect for you. im just trying to get a little money out of a project that has driven me insane and left me with no way to break even.
im open to trades, interested in motorcycles, vespas, other mercedes, anything vintage VW or BMW motorcycle,
