1991 Mercedes 350SDL (300SDL 'conversion') w/Euro bumpers & lights
This is my dad's 1991 350sdl. He's had it for perhaps four years now.
It has 152k miles on it. The title reads Non-Actual miles but is a clear title. The 3.5 engine in the car started to use a lot of oil and we suspected the rods had bent, so we swapped in a 3.0 from a 1987 300sdl with 165k on it. We used the had from the 3.5, a #20 head. It was resurfaced and a valve job was done. Used a genuine MB head gasket. This conversion has about 10k miles on it. Around the same time all the engine work was done, I installed a new set of KYB shocks on the car and new rear springs. It could use new tie rod ends, they will be included with purchase but not installed. Vacuum pump is the newer style. A/C converted to 134a and blows cold. Remanufactured alternator. Greazzer cleaned and adjusted the injectors just a couple weeks ago. The car has a cloth/velour Euro interior from an older w126. It's grey in color. The seats are manual. We still have the original grey leather interior and it will be sold with the car. The leather was all in very decent shape, he just thought the euro stuff was cool. Also has Euro bumpers and genuine Euro headlamps, they are not Depo knockoffs. Right now, no radio is installed in the car. My dad has a couple of older Euro cars and daily drives a newer vehicle; he travels for work and just does not get to give this car as much attention as it deserves. The body is in fair condition, I have seen better, but the paint shines up acceptably well. A few minor rust spots I have pictured. The car hasn't been daily driven in several months, but used to be his daily driver. Could use a set of tires - they are from 2003 I believe and are dry rotted. Located in Westerville, OH. Price is $2,500. Last edited by upshift; 08-21-2016 at 06:26 PM. Reason: added price |

Decided to hold onto the car for a little while last summer, but it's now up for sale again - need the space. Price drop to $1,900.
