it's not a big deal but it's hard enough to sell a car now and you're just making it harder.

Guys yes the seller is being difficult... But you guys are also being difficult. We all know the asking price should be somewhere around $3000.
It's also pretty clear none of u guys posting in this thread are serious buyers, other wise u would just pm him an offer... So ya he is being kinda dumb for not putting a price up but y'all are also being dumb. And he the pictures are at 606transplant.shutterfly.com as stated in the first post

disagree. trying to help someone understand the forum rules and avoid his 'for sale' thread turning in to,well,
this stupidity.....yet again, is anything but 'dumb'. simply posting an asking price avoids all of it and is beyond simple; why someone refuses to do it is beyond me. Quote:

I went to check out the car. It is largely in good shape.
Pros- clean swap, did not seem to have any mechanical needs, straight car with no dents/dings Cons- front and rear glass cracked, needs a bose amp, small crack in front bumper cover, couple of other very minor nits The interior leather is beige and does not wear near as well as black. Jeff was very knowledgeable and helpful. He still did not have a set asking price. Here are a couple pictures of this interesting W140. Last edited by ccrelan; 11-12-2018 at 08:38 PM.

car is only a couple hours from me and i would be interested but i'm not wasting any time playing the game (other than the wasted time earlier this year trying to exhort an asking price from the "seller") until i know where the ball park is.

I truly don’t think he wants to sell it nor does he care. I think that’s it. It isn’t a priority on his list if it rots into the ground, or sells. There’s a lot of people like that.

You could always, you know, make an offer. I'm guessing he won't take $500 but has anyone actually thrown a genuine number out? The worst that can happen is the seller says "no".
Disclaimer: I'm not interested in the car - I'm trying to sell vehicles, not buy more, lol. If an intercooler was part of the conversion, all you need is a Dieselmeken pump to make this thing fly.

The car is a pump and turbo swap away from tearing ass- assuming it did not grenade the old school trans. It has a ASD rear end. The e300 intercooler has been changed out for a generic one that fit behind the bumper.

only one person posting here has seen it, and it sounded like the discussion of price sort of ended up the same way it did here. i would NEVER offer on a car before i set eyes on it in person; i would never travel 2 hours to see a car if i didn't know what the ask was first.
