1995 E320 W124 Wagon Great Shape Chicagoland $3,900
For sale is a 1995 Mercedes E320 wagon with 127K miles in great shape! $3900 obo. I’m the second owner, having bought the car in 2015 with 88k miles. It’s been well maintained, and everything works as it should with the exception of the few items mentioned further below.
The car was originally owned by an elderly man in central Missouri. Since then it's been in Iowa, California, Arizona, Tennessee and most recently in Indiana. The car is currently in NW Indiana, about 40 minutes from downtown Chicago. It has no body rust and just minor surface rust on exposed under carriage metal. The wiring harness has been replaced. The throttle body wiring was replaced with high quality automotive wiring, no issues. The car has had various parts replaced since I have had it and it runs great! The parts are either original Mercedes or quality German aftermarket: - Michelin A/S Premier tires with ~60% tread remaining. - Engine oil changed every 3,000 miles with Rotella 15w40 and a Mann filter. - Transmission fluid and filter changed at 90k and 120k. - Rear differential oil changed at 90K and 120K. - Front shocks replaced with Bilstein heavy duty. - Rear accumulators replaced and SLS system flushed. - Front sway bar bushings replaced. - Front lower control arms replaced. - Water pump, related hoses, radiator, expansion tank and coolant replaced with MB parts. - All intake side rubber hoses, gaskets, seals replaced. - Spark plugs and valve cover gasket. - All front engine pulleys, belt tensioner and serpentine belt. - Engine and transmission mounts. - Shifter bushings. - Front brake pads. - Neutral safety switch. - Ignition switch. - Kickdown switch. - OVP relay. - Mercedes battery last year. - Rear hatch shocks. - Hood pad - Nice Pioneer CD/radio with Bluetooth and handsfree features, as well as upgraded speakers front and rear. The exterior is in good condition with minor chips and scratches in the paint. No body rust, just minor surface rust on exposed under carriage metal. The interior is very clean, the leather (not mb-tex) is in good shape and has the rare front heated seat option. The car also has the rear cargo net and cover, both in good working condition. Things not operating properly: - The A/C has a leak, most likely at the evaporator. - The ASR light has been on since purchase and doesn’t cause any drivability or other issues. The ABS works fine. The ASR instrument cluster bulb has been pulled. - The passenger window quit last week in the up position, either the switch or motor is the issue. - The drivers seat front bottom height adjustment motor is making a noise on actuation so it needs some attention. - The rear outer control arm bushings are squeaking. - After a heavy rain, the rear hatch carpet is a bit damp along the bottom, mainly on the right side. Lower mileage examples of the W124 wagon are getting harder to find. This example has been maintained very well and has plenty of life left. Selling due to having different current automotive needs. Any questions please ask! Last edited by AMGmercedes; 04-17-2019 at 12:02 AM. |
