Tacoma WA: 1976 300D W115 $1500
1976 300D automatic.
The following I have replaced: radiator cap water pump thermostat temp gauge sender fan belts vacuum shutoff box rear brake hoses motor mount (driver's replaced, passenger side included) transmission filter & pan gasket fuel filter alternator Added E-code headlights with city lights, and moved fog light fuse connection so fogs operate independently of headlights. Starts, runs and drives well. Has push button to operate faulty glow relay, original loop plugs so it takes 30-45 seconds on a cold start. I considered a pencil plug swap with a Ford-type relay, but this system still works. Cruise inop (have not looked into) A/C condenser included but not reinstalled since the water pump replacement, though the AC fan override switch on the dash operates as it should. Old repaint in a lighter than factory green. A good 10 footer, but the finish has many solvent pops and is thin in spots. Still cleans up well and I receive compliments on the car often. Overall a solid driver with the usual old Benz quirks like slow-ish power windows, an aftermarket tape deck that does not work, a slightly wonky wiper switch, etc. But she cruises down the road as well as 82 horses will carry her and it has been a heap of fun to tinker with. Interior is actually quite nice, a couple dash cracks but very presentable. Clear title in my name, WA reg good through June of 2019.
