FS 1985 Mercedes 280SE W126 Euro Import
Up for sale is a 1985 280SE originally sold in Germany and imported to the US. This car has been kept in excellent condition and has been federalized and retrofitted with CA compliant smog equipment and comes with a clean and current CA title. The car comes with a stack of records for the work performed on it both to refresh almost every wear item and to bring it into CA compliance totaling around 20K within the last 6 years. This car has the high compression M110 inline 6 cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. It also has the rare burlwood trim on a short wheelbase car. This car was not equipped with air conditioning. The car runs, drives, and looks exceptional and requires nothing. Car just passed CA smog 11/15 and is ready for title transfer.

With any car from the northeast US a rust caution is in order.

After having difficulties logging in for some reason...I would like to address some ignorant accusations. I am, in fact, the owner of this car and am not trying to steal from anybody. I would advise that poster to think twice before speaking on subjects they know nothing about...
To give some context, I purchased this car on a whim about 2 years ago from a local Craigslist ad in Sacramento, CA. The seller, admittedly, seemed a bit shady but I saw a cool Euro W126 and picked it up regardless. I tend to collect too many cars and need to sell to make room for the next project which is why I am selling. I can assure that this car is in excellent condition for a 40 year old W126 and have used it as a part time daily driver during that period. I do appreciate the feedback though as I did not dig into this cars history too much and I have made an effort to correct any posting on it to mention that there has been evidence of odometer tampering, likely in the 180-200K range. Regardless, this is a unique car with an, interesting, history and needs nothing to be a reliable daily driver. If interested, contact me and we can discuss further. Nick |

What did the title say for mileage when you bought it? What do those 6 years of records say about odometer readings? Every time I have work done they record it.
