I like the description... "Just the engine is worth a couple thousand dollars!" Yeah, that engine looks like a couple thousand to me, totally cooked and even has 174K miles as an added bonus.

Pardon my lack of W124 experience, but don't 500E's have a smaller steering wheel, and the more compact, newer style?

The early 92 500Es do not have the Sportline-shaped steering wheel. I'm not sure if it's Sportline sized though?

Here is a picture of the steering wheel that came with my 1992 500E ... it is one of the early-ones ... build date is 12/91.

What is the diameter of your early steering wheel Cannoli? Is it 400mm or 390mm?
