R compound track tires
I've had excellent luck running Toyo RA-1 tires - very durable, and only give up a little grip to tires like Hoosiers or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup. The C43's relatively heavy (as is my 500E), so it'll be rough on tires. In my experience I get maybe 3-4 track days out of Pilot Sport Cups, but closer to 10 days out of the Toyos.
Have fun burning them up!

I used Dunlop SP9000's on my C36 for the track, those were not bad for a daily driven tire/track combo. On my 190, I have used Kuhmo 712's, which are another ok, daily/track tire, but easy to drive past their adheasion limits on the track. I switched those out to the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires, these were by far the best tire I have used on any of my Mercedes, much better than then Dunlops or Kuhmos. Dry grip on the track is really good, noise is low, tread wear it high and cost is low. The best all around tire I have used to date on the track (not including track only tires since I assume your car is a daily driver) was the Michelin Pilot Sport but I ran these on my Corvette not my Mercedes.
I am hunting for a C43 right now and it will be equiped with Bridgestone S03 Pole position, best street/track tire on the market right now. |

The best / most sticky radial tire I've found is the Goodyear Showroom Stock tire. Available from Carrol Shellby Raceing in California.
