Hey there,

I remember a long while ago there was a guy interested in converting his 300E (W124) chassis to a newer style E-Class. Well, I found a place to get this kit. I believe it runs around 5K. NR auto has them. http://www.nrauto.com While they don't have them advertised on the net, they do have them cause I saw it in their catalog. It is the kit that gives your W124 a face lift and converts the headlights to the circle kind just like the ones on the new E-Class. Just thought I'd post this in case someone was still interested in it. Later.

Well I think what most w124 guys will want to find is a kit to upgrade to the 94-95 style.

The 96 and up round headlight style front end on the 124 chassis looks very cool, I just don't know if I would do that, though it looks sweet on the coupe like mine.

Alon,
I've always been a very big fan of the coupe. Did you ever own a sedan and if so, how much more do you like the coupe over the sedan?

I never owned a sedan version of the 124 chassis, so I couldn't tell ya from experience with driving one everyday, but I have driven one once and many various mercedes in my time.

My car is only 5 inches shorter than the sedan.

I've driven a 1991 300E - friends dad's car - felt about the same as my coupe.
I've driven an old 6.9 (grandfather had one)
I've driven an 85 190e - was my brothers car
I've driven a 190E 2.6 1990 - friends dad's car
I've driven a 560SL - Friend's Car
I've Driven an 85 380SL - brothers car
I've driven a 78 450SL - mom's ex boyfriends car
I've driven a 560SEL - Was my mom's
1985 euro 500SEC - Friends Dad's
I've driven a 59 190 4 door coupe - cool car, shifter on the column, slow but cool. - was a friends car
I've driven a 300SL and 500SL (1992 models) - Friends dad's
I've driven a 600SEL (1993) - very nice car - Friend's Dad's
I've driven a 94 sl600 - dad's car
I've driven an 88 420SEL - Aunt's Car
I've Driven a 79 300D - Uncle's Car
I've driven an 81 300D Wagon or is it TD not sure. - Friends Dad's car
I've Driven a 96 E320 - Friend's Dad's car
And I've driven an old 70's (I forget the model and exact year, but it was gas powered and small, I think it was a 190 or 220 but not sure)

Out of all of them, I love the way each drives, but I love the look of my coupe the best.

As Ferris bueller would say, " I love Driving it. Its So Choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

Hehe

If nrauto has the kit, I'm sure you can find it much cheaper somewhere else
