Looks like a pretty neat idea to get massive airflow into that puppy.

Still havent heard form you about what you think Donald...

I think this would work quite well, but still not as cool as your custom Ram-Air. It is definately something to look into though.

I wonder if something like it would just be too much airflow. hehe

Sorry for tardy

Alon, I've seen this filter. If they had an aplication for our housings it would offer added filtration from the top only. We have Height and cicumference now and get cool air in the stock configuration. With the 103 engine you wouldn't have access to the CO adjuster. The air intake would be super hot and expanded. Even with the added surface your air volumne could be less resulting from this expansion. I believe any amount of cool air far exceeds a copious amount of heated air in engine running enhensement. Look close at the clearance between the top filter media and the hood insulation.

You may want to give it a go, personnally I'll stick with the original housing and supliment its intake volumne.

With regards to "TOO" much air, no way will this or any filter give more air than the engine asks for.

Happy Trails Beep Beep from Houston.

i was merely asking because I came across this and wondered if you had thought about it.

I myself prefer your idea over this idea. but I thought it was neat when I saw them show it on TNN on sunday during one of the mechanic shows.

But what they did to that diesel truck was sweet in the custom car show. Man it was insane seeing a big truck doing crazy burnouts, and being a diesel.

The other one I saw was them finishing their old hot rod project. Really neat to see them build up oil pressure before starting it with an external pressure pump because they engine had been sitting for a bit.
