I am a member of this forum for exactly one month today and thought that my 200st post should be the announcement of my own web site being published today!
It took a lot of time and the site still isn't finished yet, but I hope the members of this forum will be so kind to have a look at my site and give me some feedback about the lay out and contents.
The site is completely in english and contains several pages and pictures (take a cup of coffee before you visit the site).

Let me know what you think of it....
visit www.MBenz.nl

thanks in advance and greetingz,

Mbenz:
What a great site - lots of fantastic MB pics and the detailed info on parts #s for the modifications you have done will be useful to other C owners as well. About the only downside I could find was that the red lettering on the intro page was a little hard to read against the black and white "negative" image of the car. Perhaps fading out the car image some would make the lettering more readable. (And of course Tripods pop up banners - I am still trying to configure my firewall to completely block these) Otherwise a really cool site from the short tour I took.

What part of the US will you be working in, and will you be here for the Atlanta opening?

Regards,

Hey, I can't find the directions on how you got your wiper to rest vertically...I thought you said you would post 'em with the site!!!

Thanks for sharing!! What a great site. Can't wait to see your project on the R129. May even "steal" some of your ideas.

Duckmuck:
there are two links to the vertical parked wiper page; one is on the model "97 page of the 1993 C250D and one is on the 1985 190D page.

JCE:
I have tried several other colors, but think I have to do something about the picture in the back ground (the red is difficult to read).
I will probably start next april in Greenville (SC) for a couple of months and move to Denver (Colorado) after that. I will probably be working in one or two different offices of the company I work for, but I don't know where yet.
I plan to make a road trip through the states from east-west-east when the project is finished. Atlanta will not work out I guess.

MBenz:
If you head to Southern California on your trip, probably a lot of members besides myself would like to meet up with you for coffee/sightseeing/dinner/whatever. Probably everyone along your trip route would want to show you the local sites and tell you about routes, etc. (you may not have to buy a meal all the way across country, the way this site is growing!)

MBenz,

WONDERFUL! I've waited for this day forever, since some while ago when you said you would expose how you did it when your homepage was up!!! THANX!

JCE,
I keep that in mind; I just ordered myself a laptop and hope that I can find an american plug to the WWW and this site (should be possible) so I can keep communicating with the rest of the world in general and the shop forum especially.

Duckmuck,
I want to tear down a W201 and W124 to make some wiper pictures as well; the wipers of these models are easier to change (but additional pictures will make things a lot easier).

It is weekend now; I hope everyone takes some time for my web site and feed me with their comments. It is the first site I build and want to know whether it is easy to read and use. Keep it coming!
Members with a C-class should definitely take a look...

I checked out you site again, for the third time. Great site! After I lower my car, mount my OZ wheels, and do a few other things to make it look sporty enough (though I'm sure it won't look as great as yours!), then I will vertically mount the wipers. As a touring car racing fan, only other fans of this sport will understand, thats the great thing, like a secret bond. Your W202 is really great! Keep us posted about where you'll be in the states.

Awesome!

Hey MBenz,

Your site was really great. I love your the retrofitted AMG interior - thanks for all your help on my car over the last couple of months. You included some great information in the website for C-Class owners. BTW, where did you buy your leather interior - because that is one thing I wish my car had - can you get it cheaper over there than in the US? I suppose I would need new front seats (at least upholstery) and new rear bench and backrest as well as 4 door panels. Anyhow, Good site - keep it going!

Thanks for the replies and compliments.
I got some complaints on my site from mbnz.org-visitors and therefore changed the lay out of my site. I hope it is a bit easier to route now...
