Big Brakes !

For ALot of you guys with the 500's out there. That want to a do a big brake upgrade. mY friends @ stoptech. Just developed, a big brakr kit setup for our cars.

There. Big calipers ,4 piston, stainless steelbrake steel brake lines(DOT)The discs are 355mm or 14.1 inch disc. There are awesome. We just installed them on my friends 500E yesterday. Wow!. I test drove with the engineer yesterday to properly seat the brakes to the discs.

This thing stop incredibly. I'm getting my put on next week . That have not posted on there site yet. We just took photos yesterday. Also getting a manual ready. I am very excited about this.

Please don't call theydont have all the kits ready. But I talk to my friend the engineer. I told him. I will talk to a few guys to see if anyone will be interested in this set up. It comes with AXXIS racing brake pads, and motul racing fluid.

Also a good Idea if your benz is nearing 9-10 yrs. I would rec changing your brake master cyl. I just changed mine. they go out when you least expect it. I have done a few 500,400 over the past 2 yrs. Especially if your hard on your brakes and do sport driving as some of us do hehe!

I will post pics next week. guido

Got the Pics here they are

wondering Guido- do you know:

>how much bigger are the big brake pistons vs. OEM SL600 set-up?
>how much less fade is big brake vs. OEM SL600 set-up?

>is there upgrades available to brake master/ brake booster and does the upgrade system duplicate factory bias?

>any stopping distance reduction tests available for review?

Thanks

What's the min. size wheel needed? 17-inch? 18-inch?

Do they have matching rear calipers?

more brake specs stuff

Hey neil. Hmm not really sure I can find out. I would expect @ least a 17. These discs are huge. When I had them in my hands I was thinking are these going to work on my 18s no problem.

the cost is going to be somewhere around $2600.00 plus sales tax.

I can't put them on yet. I have to replaced my lf wheel hub.

They only specialze in fronts for all all makes excewpt they only make matching for porsches.

i painted mine red a while back. So mines match just fine.

wow! I need those!
But seeing how my stock brake come around 1-2mm from the wheel, I doubt these will fit.

Thats true Neil. Hubs wouldn't make the application work.

Bigger wheels would.

whatda think neil you like em. Mine is the 1st in production or should I say a proto type 1. It brakes remarkably.

I hope thqt you will take this route you will be extremely satisfied.

When are you leaving southern calif?

good luck
