16V Transmission bolt pattern

Is the 16V trans. bolt pattern really the same as the M104? I tried searching but didnt get a real conclusive 'yes' feeling out of the results. I know all the custom driveshaft etc. etc. etc. all I'm fuzzy on is the bolt pattern on the bellhouse and the crankshaft nees a drilled hole? Is that for the shaft to slip in or the pilot bearing or something? And while I'm here, anyone got a good place for a performance flywheel/clutch? Apparently it takes a 300e size flywheel but the 16v clutch? So, do they bolt up or is there some misalignment ie totally custom flywheel? Sorry if this has been posted already, but I couldn't find it, sounds familiar though. Lot of talk on trans swaps lately.
