looks like a wet nitrous kit maybe. This or a simple centrifugal blower running low boost would probably be the cheapest way to get there and more.

Nah not my car, Ive seen this before once in a car mag and the other time was seeing a project on another froum where a guy put a toyota 2JZ into a W126 then added the injection system like this.
This is a modern system using a seperate ECU and individual gas injectors for each cylinder, so theres no fogger system and it can be governed more precisely and also alows for "seemless" transition between LPG and petrol i.e. accel enrichment and cranking/cold start using petrol with LPG for cruise and maybe additional injection under acceleration.

Well I’ll be taking the C36 tomorrow, the car already had its cats removed and replaced by a high flow muffler, and it has switch that fools the ecu into advancing timing but will be running richer than the 13 to afr set by amg.

how much richer I don’t really know, but ill have a wide band installed to read it. My mechanic swears the car will be making close to 300hp, time will tell. I just can’t wait to have the car really

Took the car out for a long drive today, this AMG is very responsive to the slightest touch, it revs with zeal all the way to 6800+ even close to 7k rpm. and has a sweet band from 500 till 7000, i am impressed.

the car sounds raspy which gives you this goose bumps feeling. but unfortunately its slower than my turbo w124 M10.

But boy is the gearing tall, the second gear run feels like it will never end. i am seriously considering going for the 6 speed manual of the M111 cars, and my mechanic confirmed its a direct fit to the engine. so any of you know the ratios for this gearbox?

ratios will be good, beside you mainly modify them thru changing out the rear diff, which you may want to change out for a higher one anyway,
i beleive you will need to change out a bit of things to get it to fit, possibly the input shaft and output shaft on the gearbox, but you are correct that the bell housing bolt pattern is correct, the tricky part will be the flywheel/clutch part, and installing the pedal box,
but meh thatl be easy

if i keep my W124 forced, i wont be going for the manual, ill just keep this car as it is, enjoy it. prolly sell it later on some time later.

Officially the C36 is now my daily drive, but it is slower than the boosted 124, handling is just gr8 thou and makes up for the lack of power, so does the ability to drive it like I stole it all day with no fear of it going wrong on me.

But I still insist the gearing is way too tall

ok so far the AMG seams low on power may be its due to the faulty throttle, as it goes into limp mode every now and then.

A new one will be on tomorrow along with a full service. Hope that gets me some power.

Well just got the AMG back, has a new throttle (drive by wire thing) and it seems the car is better, the mid range mainly as it was way too gutless there and it felt like it had a flat spot just at abt 4000 rpm. Some how t now feels like there is a very very small flat spot just before 5000 rpm and then it just flies.

I also removed the mufflers that replaced the Cats, but left the original AMG rear 2 mufflers in place, the sound this engine makes is just amazing.

the workshop where the car was is at the bottom of a mountain pass. the road takes you from almost sea level to just abt 750M up in the mountain. there is a cliff side on which the exhaust note reflects back to you creating an echo. the road snakes up thru some fairly long straights and sharp uphill hair pins, there are also a few changing radius corners in a few places. the road is also lightly travelled on thanx to a new highway that goes up thru the same mountain.

I love this road, i started the car waited for the oil to warm up. The sun was already setting down so i pulled the fog lights on. If there is anything i love about this car most, it’s the instrument cluster back light and that lovely AMG in the speedo. I switched the ASR off, leaving the ETS, slipped it into 2 and drove the first 200m that take you to the intersection that takes to that road, then I floored it. First revved all the way to 6500rpm, you feel the power pushing you into the firm but supportive seat. The shift to second is smooth and now your just below the sweet spot of the engine. So you just wait for the needle to hit 4800Rpm and you listen to the engine note sharpen up, the push now is back. The ETS light flickering non - stop as the wide Bridgestone scrabbles for grip over the damp tarmac. The stearing on this AMG is the best I have I ever tried on any Merc even the mighty 2.5-16 evo1, it tells every bump and camber change in the road and the damp makes it even more communicative.

Going up the road in the straights out of the first hairpin, I kickdown into first revv it all the way, then into second and rev it all the way to the 7000rpm limiter. Already well into the 120km speed it shifts to third. I keep my foot planted despite the slight left turn, feeling the rear stepping slightly wide. The road straightens and I keep it floored hitting almost 150 km before the left hairpin closes closing in fast.
I lean on the brakes, and boy do they shave the speed. My left foot on the brakes I blip the accelerator with my right while slipping the leaver into 2 matching the revs with down shift. It felt great going up this road, listening to the car talking all the time. Its just great.
this goes on for the next 8 km, so I wont bore you talking abt it.

I know my boosted w124 is faster here, harder to keep in check. But yet and despite all the handling mods, it fails to be as communicative or sharp as the AMG.

One day ill video the road, and hope it shows you how it feels.
