Any body heard from Eric400?

Man, I feel really guilty. I didn't know I'd be missed so much. I'm sorry guys.

I just had to quit for a while. I was spending too much time on the computer, and not getting enough done.

Plus, my pump seal blew on Benzer3 and it couldn't have happened at a worse time. This in addition to all of the other mechanical issues that B3 had been hitting me with in quick succession during that time leading up to the trans seal just made me snap. I parked B3 and haven't done anything with him since. I just can't understand why he can't give me anything close to the level of reliability Benzers 1 and 2 give me. They both have 100,000 more miles than B3 does! So anyways, I just had to back away for a while. I figured you all didn't want to hear me ranting and raving about B3's issues. (I ranted and raved a lot! I'm still doing it!) B3 may be the quickest naturally aspirated stock 2.24 geared 400E in the world, but he is also a royal PITA!

But mostly it was just that I've been overwhelmingly busy! Plus, the wife is expecting our third and final child in March! What have we done?!? Seriously, I'll be 70 when this kid reaches 18! 74 when he graduates college!

I actually came back on here to check on Jay. I've seen in the news that things are starting to get scary in his part of the world with bombings and stuff like that spilling over from Syria. That's why I came back! I wanted to check in with Jay! And Chlippo too! I forgot that he spends part of the year in Lebanon. Are you OK Chlippo?

I will try to check in from time to time, but I won't be able to be as active as I used to be. At least not for a while. Check my updated sig though, cause at some point (when I can) I want to get to work on Benzer5!

Wow! I had second kid at age 45 and thought I was toast. I hope you got a lot of energy for a 52 year old! Congratulations and good luck.

I don't know how I could quantify my energy level vs. the average 52 year old's but I am in better shape than the average 52 year old. An alarming number of 52 year old males I know aren't even capable of making another baby! I'm not a jock or anything, it's just doing simple stuff like walking to pick the kids up from school instead of driving. It's better for them too! (My daughter can outrun most of the boys in her class!)

I get a kick out of the fact that I am older than most of my son's and daughter's friend's Grandparents!

What can I say, I got a late start. Probably not the best path but it's the one that I'm on! Can't turn back now! TBH though, I do wish I hadn't waited so long. That's why, just a while ago, I was lecturing Jay not to follow in my footsteps! Find a good woman and start your family BEFORE you get to be my age!

Waiting until my forties was the right thing for me. I had no patience in my twenties and I was too busy working in my thirties. I wish the second had come slightly sooner, as I definitely could have done the no sleep thing better in my early forties, but otherwise it's been good.

I just hope that my kids don't wait as long as I did! I don't want to be 88 before I see my first grandchild! (My first kid came when I was 44.) I'd like to see them get started in their late 20s-early 30s, but it's not like anybody has much control over the exact timing of that kind of stuff.
