Does tiptronic make car faster?
I was just playing around with my tiptronic function on my car today, and i got the feeling as if my 0-60 might of been slightly faster. Is this my imagination or can this actually be true? Any info appreciated.

Probably your imagination. Leaving it in D and letting the computer shift usually yields the best straight line acceleration.

tip?
Tiptronic is a toy to me, It is only to entertain the driver....It does not shift as fast as a sequential gearbox.

Can using the tiptronic have any negative effects on your engine. (If you overuse the tiprtronic.)

don;t like the benz version. side-to-side shifting is counter intuitive and feels too much like a Karate Kid flashback.
