Jet Powered 500SEC!!! Pics!
Thats right folks!! I saw these amazing jet powered funny cars/dragsters at Union Grove last Saturday and they were amazing!
This one was modeled after a 500 SEC Limo. It ran sum pretty good times too 5.8@280MPH! Not Bad!  This Jet dragster ran the best times with his Rolls Royce engine. 5.1@340MPH!  Here is a good shot of the afterburner warming up. Damn!!, I knew i should have grabbed the marshmellows!!  As you can see the driver/pilot? has to watch the temprature guage so he is in his 15 degree band of power. When he is, that afterburner becomes wicked screaming out supersonic gases!!
