Arrow driveshaft

Hello all! The driveshaft on my 16v is on it's way to the grave. Is
there anyone with the knowledge, or sense of direction to search
for a possible lighter driveshaft. The car has mods. including weight reduction, so I figured since I'm in the predicament......
Appreciate all insights!

-Adam

I had my driveshaft replaced on my 300E. I asked my mechanic about using a non-MB and he said no way. He said without spending 5 grand or more you wouldnt get the quality of the MB driveshaft. He said that MB has the best balancing. Get a used MB driveshaft and upgrade the differential in the back if you want more power. I have heard of some of the Asian imports and Domestics upgrading their driveshaft but I dont think it is that popular w/ MB. If you feel that you cant use MB call Bekkers . I know they race and tune alot of 190Es and they will tell you what they reccomend. And PS, no matter what you do dont go to one of those Machine shops that will try to dump their crap on you. I went there and he wanted to sell me some POS driveshaft that he would customize from a truck or something.
