I installed my kit about 4 days ago. Instructions are really clear and everything you need is included.

I can see why the factory start is second gear, it is very easy to induce wheelspin in my Euro 560 if you push the throttle quickly.

I am looking to wire the overide for 1st gear start into the sport/economy switch on the gear selector, the supplied switch mounts in the coin tray and is obviously not a factory switch.

An excellent addition however with the shift parameters adjustable. I programmed mine for a slightly later 1-2 upshift and a slightly earlier 2-1 downshift.

Matt.

If you already have the (E)conomy/(S)port switch, doesn't that allow for 1st gear starts in (S)port mode already?

Please advise.

Hi Neil, not unless you use the B switch to active first gear start which works in either standard or economy modes.

Cheers
Matt.

I have just wired mine into the S/E switch on the trans and it works great. Anyone with a 2nd gear start V8 should get one of these, they are awesome.

Hi all, I have a 1990 300CE twin cam 24 bla bla .......I love my car, I rang up Berg Werks today, to find out if I could get a first gear start mod. I was told the only way I can do it, is to alter the valve body, Yikes! I talked with Steve, he told me I would love it. The $300.00 bucks he quoted, is OK by me, but I need to know if anyone has this? The 1-2 switch wont work with my car, It's 1'st gear start only!

Help?

Het Neil. Can you post some pics of the new 1st gear module setup. I got off the phone with Carl at Berg, he interested in doing my car next. I had him order all the goodies.

How do you like it. Tell all PLS.
